Never Ever Again

I can ONLY say that the delivery personnel were great, and I must say that ONLY one Customer Service Representative was respectful, good listener, and good customer service skills.

I started leasing from AZUMA, and my monthly payments were due by the 27th. No problem, I paid EVERY MONTH ON TIME.

However, my December 2023 payment, sent by my bank, and delivered to AZUMA December 12th 2023. I checked my account, and waited, and wondered why it was not cashed yet.

Then I started receiving threatening emails and text messages from AZUMA that my payment was past due, and my equipment will be shutdown in 24 hours. Of course, I called and spoke with a Customer Service Representative, stating that the check was delivered, by my bank on December 12th. I further stated that my bank has tracking on all my bills.

I was then told to email verification from my bank, and I did. I never heard anything else from AZUMA.

I sent my January 2024 payment in, and it was cashed. Shortly later, and AGAIN, threatening emails and texts started coming, and I called, and THIS TIME - the ONLY time, I ever spoke with a very nice Customer Service Representative, and I explained to her that the December 2023 check was mailed and delivered to AZUMA December 12th.

She understood, and commented that by it being the Christmas holidays, it is probably delayed. She further stated that the January 2024 payment was credited to the December 2023 payment, and when they receive the check, my account will be credited.

She also requested that I send another payment for January 2024, and I did, along with my February 2024 payment.

AGAIN, I started receiving threatening emails and texts from AZUMA to shut-off their equipment. At first I ignored them since I had JUST SPOKEN to this very nice Customer Service Representative.

Let me tell you. Probably ONE WEEK later, I started watching clothes - the Washer filling up with water, washing powder in the Washer, and my clothes in the Washer. I started doing other chores around the home, and noticed I didn't hear the Washing Machine.

Guess What!!!

It was turned off by AZUMA. I called, and OMG, a Very, Nasty-Attitude person answered. She was arrogant, disrespectful to me, and belligerent. I TRIED to get a word in, but she was TALKING OVER ME, and I could not explain, nor tell her what the PREVIOUS Customer Service Representative and I agreed upon, and did.

All I did was just listen to this b*#$h go on and on, and shouting at me that the machines would not be turned back on until after we get a payment.

After the call ended, I was so angry, and called my bank manager, venting to her regarding this b*#*h, and how I was talked to.

Anyway, after calming down, I had to Individually rinse my clothes and blanket, sheets, and etc ... in the kitchen sink, and hang them on doors, chairs, anywhere I could to get them dry. Plus mop my floors CONSTANTLY because of the wet items. This process has taken ONE WEEK to complete!!!

And taken a toll on me because I have a broken knee due to a car crash!!!

After receiving MORE threatening emails and texts, I called AZUMA to schedule a pickup of their equipment. NEVER, NEVER EVER will I be a customer of theirs.

Pickup is scheduled for today, Wednesday February 14th, between 8am -2pm. I can't wait to be rid of them!!!

*** poor products

These people send out used rusty unclean washers and dryers to rent. They don't care have a terrible attitude.

The Greensboro,NC operation is really bad AZUMA sucks I cant think of more words to say other than this company should go out of business for their *** products and how they treat people. I understand peole who have worked for them in Fayetteville NC have had really bad experiences too and they just done care Management is a problem and they cheat their employees out of money Want suggest if you are looking for work don't apply here any jb would be better including cleaning commodes for a living tan dealing with the *** here

Scheduled a pick up for today weeks, but the pick up is no longer viable because the company was bought out, unbeknownst to anyone except Azuma employees. Of course, I have to be out of my apartment BY TODAY. When I called to find out a good pick up window, I was told that the pick up wouldn't happen today, but tomorrow. Unacceptable! Upon speaking to a supervisor, now the pick up won't be until SATURDAY, 6 days after I'm supposed to be out of my apartment because they don't have trucks in the area. I'm beyond pissed, and regretting ever leasing with this terrible company. So sad the customer service has gone out the window, and will never, ever use again. Good riddance.

Never heard of this company before. Recently received a barrage of calls from them claiming to deliver a washer and dryer period again, I've never heard of these people before. Obviously, someone has stolen my identity and they are allowing them to use it to lease appliances from them. Somehow they had all of my identifying information in the database. They may as well be the culprits

DONT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY!!! I honestly dont know how theyre still in business. I went through this company because my apartments referred them to me for a washer and dryer. I set up a time to have it delivered on a Wednesday. They came and delivered and did a test run and it flooded my floors, i was nice because i understand things happen and they cleaned the mess up quickly. I asked the guy if they clean them or test them when they get them Back and his exact words were.... "It depends on how bad they look when we get them back but usually, no we dont." I found that pretty odd. How do you know it is still working properly?? I asked if they would be able to bring another one that day because i usually work on wednesdays and i had to take a day off so they could deliver it. They said they would call dispatch and email me. I took the liberty to call myself. Again i was very nice because ive worked in customer service and no one likes an *** hole. She said they could deliver saturday between 8am-2pm so my fiance stayed home all day waiting for them. They never showed up. Called on Monday to find out why and they said they didnt know, they got a call that the driver would be late but never knew he didnt show. I was irritated then but still stayed calm. I asked when the next delivery date was, she said wednesday (their usual days to deliver to my area) She asked me to do a key release since we would be at work. I was reluctant to since i saw on a previous review that a customer came home early and caught the delivery guys in her bedroom but i did it anyways. Well wednesday came and went and they never showed up.... AGAIN! I cancelled my lease and hope i never have to deal with them again and i would NEVER refer anyone to them!

To be honest, I have had no problem. Its not the best washer/dryer in the world but for 44.

a month and to do laundry in my nice cool apt. its worth it. I found the staff to be quite nice and delivery came when they said.

Look, you get what you pay for and to me I have nice clean clothes and when momma's happy everyone is happy. Azuma has my thumbs up.

Azuma picks up the appliances next door and wham! There is your gently used washer....along with what ever the last customer had.

I am from Columbus Ga. We rented a dryer and washer over a month ago. We still haven't been able to use our dryer even after they have installed (but never operationally checked) 3 dryers. There is no heat and the turn dial doesn't work so it could be on for 24 hours. Worst of all, the company still charged us 1/2 months rent without us being able to use it at all. It always takes at least a week from notification for someone to come check/deliver anything. At this point, they are not upholding THEIR part of the contract by not providing a working product. It's about time to break the lease with them or contact the Better Business Bureau.

I got Azuma washer and dryer for 2-3 months in all this time what I got can simple be called as head ache. Non working dryer so at least 2-3 cycles where needed for drying. The washer was another story, it literally torn some of our cloths. The charges are crazy, I have new appliances for same price from Appliance warehouse. When I disconnected after 2 repairs and utter despair, I got a huge blow on charges on return of equipment. Above all no regret from Azuma. I have never see pathetic and such a money sucking service ever. I wont ever think about going back and will ask my friends also to do same.

It is our policy to take all reasonable steps to prevent pest infestation of our products. We do this through inventory management, sterilization, rigorous inspections of storage/delivery sites, and thorough training of our employees.

In addition to this, our furniture is currently brand new and has been carefully inspected. We consider all claims of bed bug sightings to be high priority.

Terrible Business Practices

They charge too much! The monthly fee is too high; they charge for rental and pickup and early termination of the lease.

If you don't (or can't) pay their hefty charges, then they report you as breaking a LEASE CONTRACT. This effects your ability to rent ANYTHING - including another apartment! We needed to terminate the lease agreement because of a move out of state - within 30 days of starting the service.

They don't care. They even charge DAILY for late payments.

I used to be a customer for over a year....then i call last tgursday to reactivate my account because it wont let me online. They tell me that option is currently down and they will call me back tomorrow. ...even if it hasnt been fixed...jsust to let me know they hadnt forgotten about me...their words...that was last thursday.....it is now saturday. I call amd the rel says oh i see the notes you were supposed to get a call o days ago...bo sorry no nothing. I ask to speak with a manager he places me on hold for almost 10 minutes then comes back and says one is available but she wont take my call shell have to call me back...oh yes because thats not the reason im calling ti complain in the first place. When i tell the rep this amd that i will be lodging a complaint and leaving an online review and writing a letter. .he with no sympathy says well as i said she can call you back. Nope will never do business with this company again and have told my neighbors and other friends who were plannimg on shopping with them dont bother.

A last amendment to my original review... I checked my bank account this morning and the payment that Azuma had debited from my account on Monday, June 8, 2015, which was pending with my bank, has been cancelled.

Azuma did what they promised...

they cancelled the payment transaction. I am satisfied.

I'd like to amend my review from yesterday, 06/08/15...

I received a call today from Ms.

Hernandez, Senior Resolutions Manager at Azuma. She was very apologetic about my bad experience and sounded sincere. She did try to make this right, by offering to arrange delivery of the appliances I needed today or tomorrow. I told her I appreciated her call, but I had already made arrangements for my washer and dryer with another leasing company.

She then said she'd make sure the payment and deposit they debited from my bank account yesterday would be credited immediately. I do appreciate her efforts. I expressed my opinion that Azuma's customer service staff and management could greatly benefit from additional customer service training, which she took very graciously.

If the manager I dealt with yesterday was even half as professional, courteous and sincere as Ms. Hernandez, I would be an Azuma customer today.

I scheduled my appliances two weeks PRIOR to my move and the earliest delivery date I could get was still 10 days AFTER my move in. I confirmed by email confirmation on Friday before 3:00pm, one business day prior to the delivery date, as the confirmation instructions are stated on the application. I made arrangements to be here for the delivery... anytime between 10am and 4pm. I noticed on the morning of the anticipated delivery date that they had debited the rental and deposit charges from my bank account. By 3:30pm and no delivery, I began to worry. I called Azuma customer service and was told that my appointment had been cancelled... on Friday! I asked to speak with the manager. The manager had the attitude that it was my fault. She said that after they tried calling me on Friday (the Friday I confirmed by email) to confirm, but failed, THEY cancelled my appointment. She said they never received my email confirmation. She wouldn't accept any accountability for their broken system. She couldn't explain why the charges had been debited from my account but said they would issue a credit to my bank. I'll probably never see that money again!! I am so mad right now!!! I wish I had read the reviews here about Azuma before I decided to attempt to use their services. I've already reported this to my leasing office, as they are the ones who referred Azuma to begin with. I'm telling everyone I know about this... all of my neighbors and anyone who will stop long enough to listen! This company and it's management is shady... and that is putting it very lightly! Save your time, temper and finances by leasing from a reputable leasing company and stay away from Azuma Leasing!

Azuma came highly recommended from leasing office, with low monthly payments and 1st month being free along with free maintenance, and delivery. I go online to set up service and am being asked to pay $797 dollars to start service based on a credit check and then $47 a month. THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS!!! I'm not buying the *** washer and dryer and the fact that I'm in a lease with an apartment community that highly recommends them should be sufficient enough to rent without a credit check. Completely ridiculous and horrible customer service from the agent I spoke with! I'll be sure to pass on to the leasing office this ridiculous service they are recommending. Just sad!!!!!

Seems to me that for $797 You could go out and purchase a low end set that would have the same outcome! Sure you get it back but you might as well just buy at that point.

I was also recommended from the leasing office. I have not called to see what they are going to tell me but I am glad to read reviews before I buy anything.

Regarding the amount you were asked to pay, I just wanted to clarify that all of our customers go through a credit check process before they rent with us.

We're a separate company from your leasing office, so we require a separate credit check. It sounds like due to your credit, we asked you for a deposit in addition to your first month of rent at the time of delivery. You absolutely get that deposit back once you finish your service with us. Depending on each individual's credit history, you may be asked for a higher rent or deposit or a combination of the two.

I'm so sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We do our best to make it absolutely clear on our advertising, on our site and over the phone that the pricing is dependent upon the credit check.
